Favorite Food Network Star

Tell us why you like the Chef you voted for! Or why you don't like someone else. Let me know if I didn't name your favorite.

I like to watch all of these shows, but Rachael Ray is my favorite for a couple reasons. She talks the whole time and tells stories about her family. And my very favorite is that in her 30 minute meals programs you get to see everything. She doesn't put a roast in the oven and 2 minutes later pull it out and it's done. I like getting to see everything and in the time it takes to make it.

I LOVE Paula Deen. Every recipe of hers that I have tried has been fabulous - not always very healthy - but delicious! I also really like Giada and Ina. My least favorite food network star has got to be Emeril. He always uses wierd ingredients and he just kinda annoys me...

I feel the same about Emeril. I'm watching him right now (well, not watching really - it's on in the background). I can never make the stuff he does because I only like 1 or 2 ingredients he uses in an entire episode! There's a lot of silent time in his show too.

Ryley loves to watch Ina b/c she thinks she's watching my mom/her grammy. They look very similar except her eyes are green and my mom's are blue. lol. Everytime we see the show on Ryley gets very excited.

I've always thought Ina Garten looks like Ashley's mom!
My favorite is Robin Miller - her meals really are easy and she helps get things ready for more than one meal in a week. I don't get to watch tv anymore so I go to he website and get the recipes every week.
I used to like Paula Deen until she started talking about how much she loves Mrs. Obama (can't stand that woman) then it made me mad and I can't smile at Paula anymore.

So about this blog...

I love to cook. I don't get to experiment with as much as I'd like, but I try what I can. I watch Food Network all the time and love trying things I see.
My twist is that I never follow a recipe completely. So, in my posts I'll tell you where I got the idea and the basic recipe, but I'll post the recipe the way that I made it.

All photographs on this blog will be my own, so it will be what food/recipes that I use really look like.
